    Goo evening,

Wondering if anyone can shed any light on the above dishwasher module coding?

I have renewed the module, as the m/c was taking over two hours to complete a 30 minute quick wash.

Initially, I unblocked a blockage in the sink drain, as it wasn’t washing. When tested, the m/c did then wash, but took so long to complete cycle.

The L1 (water) led also flashes or remains lit intermittently.

The literature for the new module provides coding instructions, which I have been unable to complete, despite following to the letter.

I’m not completely sure that the module is at fault, as even though coding hasn’t been completed, the m/c goes into a “safety mode” when the unit is manually reset.

Any suggestions/ideas welcome, as NEFF naturally unhelpful.

Usually its just a burnt relay pin on the module that wants resoldering OR the heater itself is duff.

I don’t have the coding instructions to hand right now for this module. Presumably the module you fitted is part no: 643036 is it? What part of those instructions caused the confusion as perhaps I could assist you there?

The impellor jug (424099) is always a caution on these by the way and can lead to all sorts of probs. So for what they cost it’s always a wise move to stick a new one in too and be done!

Thank you for your feedback Martin,

I think I’ll bring the m/c in to carry out further inspection and tests.

There were no signs of burnt terminals etc, so will re-check this, and the heater.

Yes, the part number is 643036, which appears to fit several models.

However, I’ve been unable to determine the current model coding, after changing the module.

The main programme switch differs to the one in the literature, although I’ve turned it to position “5”, held “on” switch down for at least 3 seconds as requested in order to display current model coding.

One then turns the programme selector switch clockwise, (within 5 seconds) until LED 1 comes on.

However, I cannot get this to happen!

Also, could you let me know what the purpose of the impellor jug is please?

    Kind regards,

    jontymox

The impellor jug is in essence a flow meter device though goodness knows why BSH call it an impellor jug? Seriously lost in translation somehow I reckon. But, it does have an impellor and is the device that delivers a few jugs of water into the machine, so perhaps that’s what they mean?

It’s purpose is to count the flow of water into the machine governed by the module. The module in effect counts the number of rotations the impellor makes and shuts the inlet valve off when the required water level is reached. Naturally it being a mechanical device it is subject to a great deal of wear and hence a common failing.

    HTH? 😀

    Good morning,

    Thank you so much Martin.

In the process of giving d/w a final test on its longest cycle, and your diagnosis was spot on.

Renewed heater unit, and flow sensor and all well.

    Thanks again,
