ParticipantThis dishwasher makes a grating noise when the circulating pump is running, probably a small piece of ceramic in the impellor as I found a small piece in the sump also. Not seen this model before, it has a small, mostly plastic motor, a bit like an up market Askoll. Any tips on removing this motor for accessing the impellor? Looks like it could be a tank off job to me.
All replies much appreciated.
Regards,
Mike.

Not seen that model before. Sound like a newish shape machine. Will keep an eye on post to see how it goes but if its anything like the askols on the whirlpools, (the new snail type heaters directly on the wash pump) impellars are usually simple to remove but blades shearing off common.

when i come across noisy wash pump and i think something may be in it,the first thing i do is remove the spray arms and start a programme, the fast flow rate sometimes flushes it clear.

Is it making the noise constantly or briefly every 2 minutes or so ?

Noise is there “most” of the time.
I like Bobs idea of running with the spray arms off, got to be worth a try. I was hoping one of our Bosch friends might be able to help with some bedtime reading- any chance.Regards,
Mike

I think you’re gonna have to pull the circulating pump out Mike as see. Not fixable mind, will need replacing (Part No 647397) don’t forget to order a jubilee clip (172272) as well, you’ll need it. 😉

Thanks Martin.
Is this a “Tank Off” job, in the manner in which you have so clearly described for the earlier models, or can it be pulled from the side ?.
