i was originally called to this machine as it was showing s2 in the display and doing little else. ( i’ve since been told that that means test-mode).
when i got there it would do absolutely nothing no lights no sound etc. having established power to module i concluded that it was probably faulty.
after boxing it up and explaining to customer it was dead, it suddenly lit up the display. it allowed us to select programs etc but would NOT respond to the start button. (the contols are touch sensitive like an
i-phone screen) does any one have any experience with these going wrong or do you have the test proceedure so that i can check it/cancel it properly.

keithThis might sound like a silly question but were your fingers dirty when you trying to work it ?
These don’t like ‘dirty’ fingertips as i’ve found out in the past . Can you pop back or ask the customer to try it using a piece of kitchen roll over the tip of the finger .I once spent 20mins with a customers husband trying to get their DW to work with no joy untit the wife walked in and got it started 1st time….her husband was a car mechanic and my hands were dirty and this is why it wouldn’t switch on or start !

funny you should say that cos it crossed my mind too. it definately worked better for the customer than for me. only thing as i said was that he could get a response from all other buttons except the start button.
i will give him a ring and tell him to try it again with the paper.
