Neff S5433XOGB/13 dishwasher stops and does not drain

Checked pump, done reset drains all ok. Machine heats, PCB no dry joints, however asked cust to test. Machine stops somewhere in cycle as if PCB has hung. came back to appliance 55 degree wash still lit all weekend no end light lit. Open/ closed door changed cycle no noise. Reset done machine drains till end light lit. New cycle starts ok after selection.

PCB breaking down under load??

Very unlikely. I would think it’s timing out at some stage in the cycle and the drain pump a possible guilty party? The question is, when the machine stops is there water in the machine? Is the fill matrix/pressure switch/transfer hose clear? Red float not sticking inside pressure chamber?

I agree, unfortunately i suspect it’s one of those jobs where you need to get the panels off, start a program, sit back with a cup of tea and observe 😕

Yes machine stops with water in. but when reset pump out ok. Rectifier/transformer very warm on module

Simon, quite common to get transformer failing on these, sometimes intermittent. Send the board to EMW.

Pump overheating or drain outlet problems then. The module theory a red herring I reckon. 😉

Ok returned pulled out dishwasher removed side panels to observe fill matrix action and put meter on pump terminals. Drains/fills/heats ok ok thru every 55 degree wash rinse. At 1hour 20 mins stops dead after heating water. Does not ask drain pump to operate. End light not lit. If door opened closed pump kicks in for 2 secs. Reset dishwasher drains ok.

It is as if the module 264882 has forgotten to drain the water 😕

It ain’t logical, so it’s the pcb.

Cheers Chris. PCB obtained. Note that it has to be coded in the hand B4 fitting as 4 buttons are used. Dishwasher has 3.
Will report back on outcome
