Help! My Neff S5443X1GB/12 dishwasher has stopped heating water.
One night last week it tripped the RCD on the ring main shortly after starting the machine. I reset the RCD and the dishwasher seems to function properly, but without heating the water.
I assume the heater has failed. It is the ‘instantaneous heater’ type (Part number 263765) with the heater hidden in the base of the machine. I have removed the side panel to gain access to the base and I have put a meter across the terminals of the heater (with the power disconnected obviously!) and there is an open circuit.
If I can purchase a replacement heater I am tempted to replace it myself. Question is do I need to remove the base in order to gain access? Is this a simple task or is it best left to the experts?
Thanks, Paul
