    Hi

I have a Neff S5443X1GB/17. It pumps out the water at the end of the cycle ok, but the (or a) motor carries on running (until I open the door). It does not move on to the fill cycle, even if I press the Reset buttons. If I add more water from a bowl, it pumps it out again (as soon as I close the door and if the on button is pressed in). Since this happened, I’ve not been able to get it to move on (from the pumpout stage) to start a new cycle.

The base does not seem to be flooded and the red float switch at the front left is not raised.

I was wondering, is there a (low water) sensor to tell the machine when the water has all been pumped out? Where is this located? Thanks

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Thank you
    Andy

a lot of later machines monitor the current drawn by the pump to determine if its empty

Thanks Dave, that is very useful… so maybe a new pump or a new circuit board? I am told this machine is around 20 years old…
