    Neff S5443X2GB/42 integrated dishwasher. FD8302.

This machine will run for about 40 mins on any cycle and stops. ‘End’ lamp flashing and machine has drained, as if the cycle was complete. I have checked for heating, water level metering (the system was blocked last time I went about 6 months ago, and it’s been alright until now). So it fills, drains, washes and heats – all fine for me on visit…………. 👿
There are no burn marks or solder problems on the PCB and the base of the machine is dry. The only thing I can’t really test in real time is the turbidity sensor; the only thing that could adjust the wash times that I can think of. I’m not sure if this machine is fitted with one.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Steve.

This model doesn’t have a turbidity sensor. It could be a temperature NTC fault though? Overheating and aborting maybe?

Does the dispenser operate OK? Have they not been using salt I wonder?

The heater heats to (by feel) the correct temperature. I don’t get the low salt connection though….. 😕 Thanks anyway Martin.

    Any other thoughts??

    Steve.

The reason I asked about the salt was whether or not the machine had been used for any extended period of time without softened water? Heater boxes limescale up in these circumstances, so too do the NTC phails. 😉

However, stopping at 40 mins is a time-out of some sort and might also be related to things like fill or drain issues just as easily I would imagine?

Does that dispenser open I wonder by the time it times out? Will the machine operate without probs on ‘quick wash’?

Now the wash is down to 25 minutes and the “End” lamp flashes. The flat has 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} softened water, the customer has tried it on all cycles and the end time is give or take the same. I am thinking new PCB; unless anyone has any ideas……… 😕

    Thanks,

    Steve.

3 times I wonder if the dispenser works……hmmm?

Yes….I did check that before you’d even asked…… 😉 The customer has been trying it on and off for the last few days (including the dispenser) and everything works on this machine except its reluctance to do a full cycle. 👿
Bosch / Neff dishwashers don’t normally cause me any difficulties, but this one has got me foxed. Everything is clear and all components function individually.
    Thanks for the reply,

    Steve.

In that case then it’s the control module at fault. I’ve fitted 2 of the 492685’s in recent months due to programmes stopping. One I could see the heater relay terminal had burnt and the other looked perfect but I’m certain again it was the heater relay that was playing up?

Now you’ve finally answered my 3 time question about the dispenser (wax device) working OK, I’m 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain its a module fault – so go for it!!! 😉
