Had one last week that was not heating.
I found out, with a meter on it, that it would heat for a second or two and then cut out.
Turns out it was a blockage in the pipe to the motor (found by looking thru the sump with a dentists mirror, as advised on here) and the motor was only intermittently putting out enough pressure to actuate the a microswitch.
If you stick a meter on the element and put it on a wash and see if the white plunger on the end of the heater box is actuating the microswitch as the wash pump kicks in.
If not you can actuate it yourself by carefully prying it forward with a long flat screwdriver, then see if the power gets to the heater.
If it’s already actuating the microswitch then it’s something else.
Also check for dry joints on the board and wiring etc.
