I have a Neff S5555 fully integrated dishwasher. It has a solenoid valve built into the water supply hose to control water flow. However , when using the timer function to wash during the night , when the soleniod valve operates it seems to generate a knock that wakes me up!
Does anyone know if this can be remedied or is it the way the pipework has been done.

More than likely the way the water pipes are.

What is known as water hammer.

Not sure if there is anything you can do about it. 😥

Clipping the copper pipes to the wall may work. If you turn your cold sink tap off quickly does it do the same?
