ParticipantHi, Neff S72M63x1gb/55. Had left it to work overnight, found it had not finished – not drained and utensils hadn’t been rinsed. No display and no response from “on” button. Have sponged it out, cleaned the filter and checked that the pump was free to turn. Have taken off the front panel and checked the “on” switch it connects when you press it. The mains socket is OK and I’ve checked the fuse in the appliance plug. What should I check next? Thanks, Peter.

Moderatorcheck the cable where it plugs into the appliance, pull it out and put it back
if that fails sounds like a main board problem

ParticipantUnplugged the cable where it plugs into the appliance, as suggested and also checked the lead for continuity – all fine. When I plugged it back in again there was no change – no display and nothing happened when “on” button pressed. So, is it just a case of getting a new main board to see if that gets it working again?
Thanks

Moderatoror you could ask QER if it can be repaired

ParticipantReplacement main board didn’t make any difference.
Is there anything else on the mains side – an internal fuse / power supply that could be preventing the controller from getting its supply?October 1, 2019 at 1:16 am #463300electrofix
Moderatorwhen you say you changed the main board which one did you have in mind
power module part no 658827
or operating module 11002897
either could be faulty or the cable joining the 2

ParticipantIt was the operating module that I tried. Where on the machine is the power module and do UKwhitegoods sell a replacement – couldn’t find it on the website?
Thanks

ParticipantFound the power model and there’s a component that has died on it – nice burn mark on the plastic case over it. I’ll consult QER for a repair. Thanks, Peter

ParticipantI’ve now replaced the power module and there is life!
However, there are still issues. The programmes seem to be taking at least twice the length of time that they are supposed to, the red light beneath the right hand edge of the door doesn’t show, the intensive and pre-rinse programmes don’t work (press the button and nothing happens) and the last two items in the menu (P:01 and I:01) don’t appear when you cycle through the options.
I’m thinking that the failure of the power module has cause some corruption of the programmes? Is there a way of resetting the control module to fix these issues?
This is the original control module – I sent the replacement back when it didn’t make any difference.
Thanks for any further advice.

ParticipantHi Dave,
The numbers that I am looking at are on the plastic case of the power module:
EPG60613
9000683387These are exactly the same as those on the replacement.
Thanks
