Neff small integrated fridge stopped cooling –

Neff K4316X4GB/04 – stopped cooling – replaced relay – no better – when fridge is turned on compressor runs for about 10 sections then stops – after say another 10 sections you can hear the system trying to start but it doesnt – the readings across the compressor pins are approx. 35, 21and 16 ohms – any ideas as to whats wrong and what to do – the fridge is about 10 yrs old – Many thanks

Thanks for that Dave – is that based upon the readings that I obtained across the compressor pins?
Do you know what sort of reading should be obtained?

no its based on the fact you replaced the overload but the compressor still tripped it

so compressor is being powered but cant start. there are only 2 reasons for that . Motor capacitor, if your unit uses one, or compressor failure
