Neff Soapdish Doesn’t Open

The soapdish would open only about once every five washes. I reckoned it was probably a mechanical rather than electronic problem (because it was intermittent and the door didn’t always close easily either). So I replaced the soapdish assembly.

Now it doesn’t ever open… Curses.

It’s possible I replaced the connector to the solenoid the wrong way round. (White wire against inner door surface, blue against outer). Could this be it? Not sure if it’s AC or DC, or whether the polarity matters. I’m reluctant just to try reversing it without knowing.

AC circuit – location of connector is unimportant. Presumably it isn’t getting 240v from the pcb, therefore the pcb is the real culprit.
