Neff u1420u0gb/01 blows on main oven, grill ok

Hiya,
This oven blows the mains rcd when you turn the fan oven on. The grill functions correctly.

It was working perfectly until a new main fuse board was put it. The electrician says it is a fault with the cooker.

It blows immediately when you turn the main oven dial on and trips the lights with the cooker.

On the fuse board there is a dedicated fuse for the cooker but it does not blow, just the rcd next to it which as mentioned takes out the lights.

Any ideas?

sounds very much like the insulation is low on the main oven fan element, if you carry out an insulation test on the element you will most likely find a low resistance reading of less than 0.5 megs. reading should be above 1.meg to avoid the rcb tripping.

Hiya, thanks for your reply. Fan element is fine. What else could cause it?
