Neff U1442NOGB. FD8606 double oven

Hi Guys
Help!! I feel like a right plonker but I cannot seem to be able to remove the glass cover to change the bulb in my main oven. I have followed to manual but although the cover moves slightly in the anticlockwise direction I am unable to turn it further to remove the bulb. What if anything am I doing wrong?? Any advice will be gratefully received.

They can be a pain but I tend to use pipe pliers to fit around cover to grip two of the nibs, then twist.
Care to be taken not to squeeze too hard and cause damage. I would wear safety goggles and gloves just incase 😉

Your appliance is still under warranty . Give BSH a call and they should send someone out to help . I’ve done loads of these recently and it seems like they’ve been put on too tight in the factory. TBH , 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time its a 2 minute job.

If you’re still trying , make sure you take the door off as this gives better access and if you’re right handed , try undoing it left handed as you get much better leverage .

Personally , i use a plastic hammer and wide bladed screwdriver to give the glass a ‘helping’ hand in the right direction to help with loosening it up although i wouldn’t advise you to use this method yourself 😀
