Hi , I have a Neff Oven, U1451W0GB and the main oven elements are both open circuit. Am I right in thinking the circular one around the fan is only what is used when using the fan oven which is what we normally do. Could it be the top one may well have been faulty for ages without us realising ? Are there any factors which make the elements go quickly as the last Ego one lasted only 2 years although we do use the oven a lot. Thanks
Generally, unless you use a fan assisted mode with upper and lower in play then yes, only the circular element in energised for fan oven cooking and, that’s the most commonly used method by most people even if the other mode is available.
They’re a bit like light bulbs… some last, some don’t.
Many thanks for you quick reply. Hope the new one lasts longer. I have the choice of another Ego or a cheaper Maddocks brand. Is the Ego worth the extra? Cheers
