    Neff built in electric double oven
    ENR U1461N1GB
    FD 8203

    Worked perfectly until it failed during use today

    Symptoms :
    Clock/timer display is blank
    Neither oven heats up

    The only sign of life is the orange lamp above the upper oven temperature selector knob. If the upper oven function selector is in the 0 position and the temperature selector is set close to the lowest setting then this glows a little.

    Does this suggest the main control / display board has failed?

    Spent some more time looking at this. The fact that the one indicator glowed faintly then went off when you put the oven temperature above a point that would cause the element to come on made me double check the mains supply.
    Turned out I have a faulty neutral in the feed to the oven. So nothing wrong with the oven itself.
