Hello, I would appreciate some advice regarding this oven. Upper small oven works as expected. Lower oven works fine from cold on all settings but after 1-2+ hours use it appears to cut out (eg on the fan setting the oven lights go out and the fan stops also all other settings are “dead”). Occasionally the power will briefly flick back on and off again, but basically the oven has to cool right down before it works “normally” again.
    Possible causes?
Temperature limiter (00057895) is operating? Where on the oven is this switch located?
If the above limiter is working normally could there be a cooling fan related problem?
    Thanks in advance

Well the limiter does appear to be the problem. It is located at the back of the oven cavity near the fan I think you’ll find. Power isolated, oven out, back panel off to check it out.

Also you need to establish that your oven is not overheating anyway. And you need to check if the oven fan AND the cooling fan are operating as they should. 😉

Thanks for the reply. Both cooling fans were OK and I replaced the limiter switch. The existing limiter switch had some external grease contamination due to hot air leakage rising from the fan motor shaft area so I fitted a small deflector plate below the switch. Oven OK so far so fingers crossed!
