Hi,
I’m about to replace the element in my Neff U1721 for the third time in just under 2 years. Am begining to wonder why it keeps failing. Any known problems, or will I be paying loads for somebody to diagnose and fix and hence do I just be happy with the 7 years of good service and buy a new cooker.
Thanks
Sadly, fan oven elements live short violent lives – there’s an article about them HERE. As you have got through a number of them quickly, there may be other issues. Fan motor not running at full speed, thermostat cycling incorrectly and buying pattern replacement elements can all be the cause of failures.
You should also check that the door hinges are not worn causing poor closing of the door. The door should close with a satisfying ‘donk’. The door should be held fairy tight when in then closed position with no gap or looseness of the door.
