    Hi there. New to the site and desperate for some advice. Have inherited a 5-year old Neff oven which in the last 9 months has had 3 elements fitted and all have blown. The latest yesterday! Is there an obvious reason which we need to get checked out or do we start looking for a new oven??

    If you have a problem with the fan it might cause this. If the fan sometimes stops turning the element will get hotter than normal until the fan cuts back in again.

    Just to add, was a genuine element, namely part number 494643 fitted?
