ParticipantHi all, been out to this one which will fill and then just sit there and do nothing. There is a start button on the front which if pressed will skip the cycle to the next stage (ie rinse)which it will do. but then it will only rinse and not progress to the next stage.
I have checked for earth faults and metered the heater, which appears to be ok. The appliance has not been used since purchase and has as far as I know been stored indoors.
Any idea’s 😕
Regards

Good grief!!! Not been used since 1997…..????….9 years???….really?
From bitter experience (believe me?) do please check and double check the motor?….The module is a bugger to get to, but I’m afraid you will have to dig it out if your motor test seems OK?
It is important to ensure you ‘reset’ the machine if you wish to start another cycle during testing etc.(dammed if I can remember how to reset it though?…) otherwise it will play up anyway. 🙁
9 years and not been used…I can’t get over that………..?

Hi Merv
When you say the above, does it actually agitate in the rinse?Greg

I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s actually a friends machine which was surplus to requirements when they were building a set of houses.
It does agitate on rinse, but thats all it seems to do after it has filled.
When put onto a main wash, it fills then stops ( no drum action). if you put it on spin it will drain then go into spin.
I was wondering if there was a way of reseting it, but there was nothing in the instruction book.
It’s always the same story, never easy when it’s for a friend!

Hi merv
Long shot but I wonder if when you say its still after fill on wash, it is actually heating and waiting for temp to be reached before starting agitation 😕 A while since I worked n one of these 😀Greg

Hi Greg, I put it on a wash and left it while I was drinking my coffee and went back to it, there was certainly no supply to the heater.
