    WK61420GB/01 Washer dryer.

Initial complaint of no spin, and a clicking noise.

Set to spin, it drains for the usual 30/40 seconds and then cuts out completely, pump, everything.

Set to wash and noticed at once that it is only tumbling anti clockwise ( from front) and the clicking noise is from the PCB relays.

Never seen this fault before, suggests control PCB fault, unless you know better. 😉

    Jim.

PS. Motor perfect, fitted new 18 months ago.

This is an old SIEMENS Jim and I’m pretty sure the PCB on the baseplate is your problem. Expensive fix. 😥

Thanks Martin, I will convey the news to the customer, a friend (at least for now) of mine for over 35 years. 🙁

Do check for dry joints on the board. Did one a few months back.

Was this the PCB in the base or the facia/control PCB Tim?

Sounds as if one of the relays has a dead contact, if you are feeling brave you could try changing them.

    Soooooooooooooooooooooo,

Is this on the PCB in the base or on the facia control PCB?

Spot on Tim, just one dry relay joint, it’s a real pig to get this board out but it was well worth the effort. 8)

    Thanks.
