    Hi All
I have a 6 year old Neff warming drawer with a red flashing light and doesn’t heat up. I cannot tell you the model apart from its 14cm deep as I can’t see it unless I take it out. Question is do I pay for a repair or replace it. I think Neff is £106 plus parts or a new one from AO is £364.
Anybody know about what causes the fault and cost please
    Thanks and Merry Christmas

I’m awating on a bowl for one. It’s either the connector block, (like a kettle connector, quite common), the bowl (whole drawer) or the pcb.

Note, the pcb will not send power to the drawer unless it gets a connection so you can’t just check it properly from the back.

PCB can be repaired. https://www.avforums.com/threads/neff-warming-drawer-failures.2210819/ try here – very useful

The bowel/drawer comes out – 2 x screws and very easy job – simple check for conitinuity on the drawer heater/element.

To check the connector you need the whole thing out. If it has a microwave above it, remove it first, it will be damaged if you leave it on the screws holding it in.

Get back to me if you need help.

I’ve got a bowl/Drawer arrving tomorrow £160ish from Maddocks.. came in stock today..

Thanks, how do I check if it’s the connector that’s faulty

It will be the pcb if the red light flashes when door is closed

It’s a bit difficult due to the way it’s made but look for obvious burning around the connectors, loose or worn connectors. People quite often replace the coupling as they do wear and it rules out that fault. Part number for your is 00612218.
Yours is a different drawer/bowl than the one I’m working on so ignore the my reference to it. You’re bowl is still around £160sih but is OOS and special order from Maddocks. Bowl part number0772150. pcb12039425…ouch price…get it repaired if it’s pcb.

Reading that forum, occasionally you get a double fault, pcb and bowl…double ouch.

It could be the pcb but it could also be the connector or the bowl (element being open circuit).

I’ve just finished fixing this job of mine this morning. I’ve got a few pictures if you want them? It might help you. PM me.

It was as I diagnosed the bowl/drawer itself…the heater element had gone O/S.

I forgot to say. If you have a combi microwave above the warming drawer, it’s definately a two man job. Be careful you don’t catch the glass from on the warming drawer with the microwave. Also, the microwave has a clip in power connector so easy to disconnect the power but it’s heavy..40+kg

    Good luck

    Hi All
I have changed the coupling and it’s still faulty. I have ordered a replacement like for like as it’s not worth repairing due to the cost.
    Thanks All
