hi just wondering if every one is really quiet work wise this week, had some enquiries but no jobs at all good job i have some income from rentals

Down here in the home counties I am pleased to report that business is officially ‘STEADY’ that being classed numerically in a scale of 1 (dead) to 10 (manically busy) falls in the number 6 bracket. Any grade above 5 ensures that HMRC gets paid by the due date. 5 and below then I would have to resort to flogging the old woman’s jewellery on eBay to make up the shortfall……. :clown:

Was busy, quietened down a bit now…..then again it is January and anything above a trickle is usually a bonus.

So dead I would rate it as a 2 on Martin’s scale, very busy December but this month I should have gone on holiday if I could have afforded it (not on a Med cruise though !)

Dead here too, just a trickle of chargeable and warranty work, seems loads of hassle though, customers generally being difficult about stuff and awkward, wanting FREE or just advice all the time, guess im on a downer today lost sales of a few appliances to the internet, im trying to keep positive but to me the trade is going same way as brown good repairs NO MONEY IN IT !.

Well we have slowed down this last few days work is patchy and the phone is slow. Suppose we are approaching the end of the month after christmas and people are waiting to get paid. Life goes on and people need clean clothing and people are not used to waiting for much these days, so upwards and onwards I might wash the van down a tidy the toolbox , mm !

Mind you i went into our local B&Q yesterday they always seem to have loads of appliances after christmas on special deals just by the entrance, hardly any have sold theres loads left, cata dishwasher for £129.99 nice !.
