Participanthi paul hear 😛
lately some of my customers are still wanting new appliances with hot & cold fill valves .
there is still a vast majority with coal or hot storage tanks

Um……. No. Invite your customers to join the 21st Century. Unless the boiler is directly over the washing machine, it will finish filling before the water even comes down the hot pipes. Educate them.

thanks for the reply iv been telling them this .
the trouble is a lot of my customers have been ripping there oil boilers out. and gone back to coal because of the cost on fuel I’m going to change myself i spent £1200 over the past year on oil. calor gas in a tank could be as much as £2800 a year to run.
and I’m inundated with calls for these appliances 😮
if the recession keeps up we will end up making our own quality steel again and digging our own coal again.

I’m very pleased you are Garn. 😀
Now you can advise your customers that a modern washing machine doesn’t require expensively heated oil or coal fired water to operate. Just a supply of cold water and electricity.:)
Both are in plentiful supply in the valleys…there’s lovely! 😉

i know martin
its difficult to get them to part with there hpt 9934
there appliances are in excellent condition.
i change the bearings every 7 years and the odd backplate
tightening down all those bolts these days is a hell of a job im 50 the customer is about 90 and nothing is giving up due to constant boiling water.
iv got one customer who resulted in topping a service washing machine up with hot water because the programs are taking to long to wash.
they got rid of it and bought a wm63 of me. 😆
thank s for the input ukwg is a godsend 😀

Thats interesting, there is no record of any such model. 😕
Perhaps you mean a WDF740. 😉
Certain machines are supplied with the type of hose you describe but they are still cold fill only, it is not a hot valve.

If you are looking to get off oil heating etc try looking here,
http://www.sanyoaircon.com/products/hyd … aters.aspxnew out CO2 heat pumps to replace conventional central heating boilers.
Costly at the moment but definately a step forward for the future. -
