    Dear all,

I have a Beko wme8227w that was not capable of spinning a full load, only half a load. After lots of troubleshooting, I decided to take a risk and buy a second hand motor on Ebay. It was also listed as a wme8227w motor.

Now, on my old motor, there are 8 pins. On the new one, there are two more! So when I fit the electrical connection, it slides in but there is one sticking out on either side (the plug fits in the centre).

I checked all the markings engraved in the motor steel core, they match the ones on my old motor.

My question is, the new motor is not safe to run like this, right? (I have attached pictures if that helps. The motor one shows the markings that are the same on both motors).

(Past troubleshooting: the carbon brushes were replaced, now work 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} as they should, the belt was replaced (that was not it), the pcb seems fine, the heating element and NCT were replaced, but that was not it either. Filter hose replaced, all filters cleaned, that did not resolve the spinning problem either. Reason for thinking it was the motor is that one carbon brush was inserted with the asymmetry the wrong way around, and after correcting, the motor has never been the same). PS. The beko is six years old but I really like it, hence the fixing attempts…

you state your model as wme8227w

    there are 2 models WME8227w 7134381700
    and WME8227w-1 7134382000

they are listed as having different motors and that is probably why

thanks much electrofix, I will check the numbers. So presumably, there is nothing I can do, I mean even an electrician could not easily rewire it to work with this one?? Many thanks
