Please help I have an indesit IDV 75s dryer and Thursday the belt went, I have since fixed this however the drum will not turn the motor is fine and turns with out the belt attached, drum itself is free but once the belt is connected to the motor it won’t turn. When you press the start button it makes the noise like a buzz but it won’t start. Is the belt to tight??? Help

as long as the belt is fitted correctly and you can push the drum round by hand then its likely your capacitor has gone.
its probably been going for a while but the extra load of a tight belt means the drum need more power to turn it and the old cap is not up to the jib

find the one on your dryer and look at the value

its going to be 7uF . 7.5uF, 8uF or 8.5uF or another. You just need to find the correct value and replace it
