ParticipantJust bought one of these dryers from Currys online and its terrible. I read a few bad reviews online before buying but thought it couldnt be that bad as we have a Bosch washer which is great.
The dryer just wont dry anything on any program. The sensors seem to be shutting it off after only 5 minutes leaving everything damp.
Ive emailed Bosch who havent replied yet but just wondered if anyone here knows about this problem before i return it.

Cheers

Hi Don
It’s next to the Bosch washing machine in our kitchen. It’s ducted straight through the wall with the 4″ hose provided.

The only reason for asking was as it’s a sensor dryer if it was installed somewhere cold like a shed it would not work as the sensors need an ambient temperature of approx 12 degrees C in which to operate.
So as long as the kitchen is warm enough it should then work.
What happens if you use the timed warm cycle does it then work?Don

I have the exact same dryer and find if the load is too small then yes it will cut out after a few minutes. A larger load and it works fine. For small loads I use the timed dryer function which works fine.
It’s one of the irritants of these modern sensor dryers in that the sensor is far too sensitive. Trying to make sense of it gets you nowhere, learning its frailties challenging to say the least. Once you learn this then I find my dryer is OK and I’d give it 8/10. 🙂

Yeah Don Bosch asked the exact same question but it’s inside in the warm. They’ve now emailed to say check the fluff filter isn’t blocked ( on a brand new machine really ??) Also check hose isn’t kinked. Bloody rubbish customer service

Poor service I don’t think so!!
We would ask all the same questions before we would send an engineer out as if it were one of those “silly” things you would get charged the standard labour fee by the engineer, which would pee you off even more for them not advising you correctly in the first place.
It could be that the fluff filter is not sat right in it’s holder. That aside I think you have covered all the bases so back to Curry’s for a replacement as it’s faulty on first use.
Like everything these days there is always a chance you can get a faulty one from new. That’s what happens when prices are so cheap to what they should be. They just ain’t built like they used to be.
