Just got new Bosch Dishwasher. Inside there is a plastic strip about 22 inches long (like a draught excluder). What is this for? Grateful for an answer.

Fits on the bottom of the plastic kick panel (see user installation instructions) and, dependent on the adjustable height you set the feet, simply cut off any excess allowing the strip to be in close contact with the floor covering. (Prevents dirt and debris getting under the machine)

Hi Martin Thanks for the answer. Looked at the manual and couldn’t find anything re: this. Maybe tooooo excited about my new dishwasher. One last question (as I am a newbie to connecting dishwashers) on the fitting sheet it said to “remove disc” from water inlet to machine. All I could see was a red perforated “thing” within the water inlet connection, looked like a filter, which I did not remove and when I tried the machine the water went in ok. So don’t know what disc they were telling me to remove. Also there is a strong metal clip within the gadgets can you please tell me what that is for. This probably all sounds very stupid to you but I am very grateful for your answers. Thanks.

Dear oh dear, have you not got the installation instructions then? It clearly shows the disc that is often fitted on drain spigots. NOT the inlet at all but the Darin outlet…! (See enclosed drawing)

Oh dear, time to spot that too on the drawing below. Fits on the drain hose if you use a drain spigot outlet. Tut! tut!

Thank you so much for all the useful info and diagrams you sent this evening. I just have a manual and for the life of me I can’t find those pictures within it. Anyway thanks to you I am up and running and know what all the included gadgets are for. Very informative. Very grateful.
