😀 I’ve been looking into getting some of the new style twintubs that are on the market as I probably like a few others here, have customers who will have nothing else. The Hoover & Hotpoint Twin Tubs are getting long in the tooth now as are the spares but has anyone had any experience of these appliances ?

The Norfrost one is an utter pile of cak in my opinion 😉

Not seen the Qualtex one although it looks a bit “plastic” to me from the picture.

What others have you seen ?

    Dave.

Your right there Dave it is. I sold one to an old lady customer who seems to get on ok with it, but there is no heating element and the spin has a direct drive 4 pole motor so only spins at 1400 rpm 🙄

From what I have been told these are made in China, but then again whats not made in china thesedays.

The Qualtex machine does look all plastic with no Heater and the other one I saw was the same. I spoke to the importers of one of these and he was unable to answer any in depth questions about the operation of the machine. Eventually I got to speak to a service engineer at the place and he told me that the machines were easy to work on and that all the parts were available.

I have always got customers looking for a twin tub replacement but I do not want to get tied up with reliablity issues and unhappy customers. I am hoping to get a close look at the Qualtex T/T very soon. I will report back my findings.

We delivered a Qualtex TT, customer was happy with it; However the Tub-Pump hose split in 3 weeks. It is built like a toy.
