    Hi all.
My Ariston XF905 built in oven is beginning to give up the ghost, so time for a new oven.
Problem i have is that wife wants a single cavity gas oven. Thats not too much trouble but :-
    a) It needs to be 90cm Wide (XF905 is 90cm wide)

    b) It needs to be built in.

    c) We would prefer gas.

    d) we would like a single cavity oven.

    e) It needs to be reasonably priced.

Cant for the life of me find one, so may have to go electric.

All help, advice & alternatives would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks……Shaun.

Reasonably priced gas appliances tend not to be very good. I’m being as kind as possible to the cheap gas ovens I’ve come across.

    Re: New Built in oven

Personally, for an oven I’d always advise an electric one for several reasons.

It’s easier to get one that performs for sensible money
They will perform better with better temperature stability
      There’s more choice on specifications
      There’s more choice of style
Less hassle and cost to install
Less cost to repair and a lot easier as well
      Easier to clean

    Need I go on? 😉

    Hi Shaun

The only decent single gas oven I am aware of is the Electrolux EOG10000X single oven in stainless steel. Otherwise it`s back to good old leccy ones. depending on budget I would go down the Bosch / Neff route. Take a read here as well http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … age&pid=83 .
