    Hi

Our trusty Zanussi ZDC37100W is starting to let us down after 12 (ish) years excellent service (randomly flashing the error light, strange noise on startup) so we’re looking at our options for replacement.

Please could you recommend a basic condensing tumble drier that will operate OK in an unheated garage?

    Many thanks

How many people are using the machine? 3 people (and dog towels)
How many loads of washing per day are you doing roughly? Probably 10 drying cycles a week
Do you line dry or use a tumble dryer? Tumble dry in winter
Do you have size limits to what you can fit? No
Have you any special needs? Needs to operate OK in the unheated garage

As the majority of condenser dryers these days are sensor dryers some do have a timed option usually of an hour max but this does vary a little by some brands. Indesit and Hotpoint still produce a mechanical timer model like the FETC70 and the IDC83TB.

For your use of ten cycles per week you would need to look at Miele or a semi commercial machine.
