new creda door switch

Hi all
fitted a cre 6102242 1 gang door switch on to a concept.
The new plastic merloni one seems weird.
when you fit it, the plastic side goes to clear pannel side, and the exposed wires go strait into the foil of the oven.
Am I going mad or is this the way these things are now.
This would be exerlant for the diy crew, fit and bang,
just thought the suppliers amoung you may like to know about this.
