Hi there, many thanks for the advice last week when I said the tablet in my dishwasher wasn,t dissolving, turned out it wasn,t getting hot so was advised it was the element and wouldn,t be economical to repair. I t is a Bosch SGS3042GB 5yrs and 2 months old!! I obviously now need a new one but am lost at what to buy. I have been advised by a reputable dealer that the Bosch machines are very good and will still outlast most makes, they certainly feel more sturdy than most. I have been looking at the Bosch SGS55C02GB At around 300.00 I don,t really want to spend more than this has anyone got any advice on which make to go for for reliability and value for money? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should consider the repair – the heater is £52 + VAT (p/no 263187), so even allowing for your engineers labour charge this should come in at less than half the cost of replacement.
