New dishwasher, Beko, Baumatic or Smeg quality comparison

Hi,

Im looking to replace a Technik 2677/1 (rebadged whirlpool) fully integrated dishwasher.

I have short-listed the Beko DWI643, Smeg DI6012, Baumatic BDI630/631, which are all around the same price.

From a quality point of view, are any better than the other options?

From your selection the Beko is the best of a poor list to be fair.

What budget are you looking at as I may be able to come up with something much better 😉

The Beko DWI643 is around £205, Beko DW601 or Baumatic £230, Smeg £260 – so looking at around £250.

Open to suggestions (60cm fully integrated)

Sadly nothing of good quality at that price range. The best you can expect from the Beko would be about four years lifespan.

For a little more and with a two year warranty the Gorenje GV62110 around £280 is a good bet, then the Zanussi ZDT11001FA around £310 and then the Bosch SMV50C00 around £400.

If it were me I would wait a while and look at one of the better machines.

Thanks for the advice, Don’t mind stretching the budget for better quality. Original budget was from a price comparison of suitable machines. I didnt realise that Beko, has such a short life span (two year warranty).

Ive never heard of Gorenje before, I will have a google. How does the quality compare to my previous tecknik 2677/1 or other premium brands?

Gorenje isn’t a premium brand by any means it’s a good solid manufacturer in the mid price range who only supply the independents and kitchen specialists in the main. Dealers can if they wish become a seller service agent to cover any under guarantee repairs as well. We have stocked them in our shop for the last 12 years or so and have been more than pleased.
