Hi, I recently bought a new Bosch dishwasher (Bosch Serie 6 SMS67MW00G Standard Dishwasher). After all the great reviews, I expected this machine to be brilliant. I am really disappointed as it seems to scratch so many things. My ‘dishwasher safe’ pans were scratched all around the rims after being put in between 1 and 3 times. My glasses were immediately etched on the first wash and even the (good quality) stainless steel cutlery is all scratched. I contacted Bosch about the pans and they said that the pans must have been scratched when I was loading the dishwasher (which I think can’t be right).
I was using dishwasher tablets – first Smol (used once) and then the Aldi Magnum ones. I have changed to a liquid, as I think that this will be gentler. Now tea stains aren’t removed, but if it doesn’t scratch, I can live with that. I would like an opinion on what caused the scratching. Will using a liquid detergent, rather than powder/tablet prevent this? Is the dishwasher to blame? The other thing this dishwasher does is turn plastics orange, so now I have to rinse anything with tomatoey sauces on them. And we have gone back to handwashing many things. Any info/advice for me? (I have taken pictures, but I haven’t been able to attach them due to file size.)
MANY THANKS
SueX
