New DW – Miele G2220 or Asko D3350?

Hi everyone, I’m looking at buying a new dishwasher & am down to two brands/models – Miele G2220 or Asko D3350. Miele seems to have a v.good reputation but not much here on ASKO reliability.
Asko has self cleaning filters. Pricing is pretty much the same.
Any comments on reliability or performance on either models would be appreciated

Without any doubt, the Miele :tup:

Asko aren’t the same now, they were taken over by the same company that own Servis. I’m not sure which factory makes this particular one but I’d play safe 😉

Ask me that a couple of years back and the Asko would win hands down, looked a lot better too. Not even seen the latest Asko model so, as Dave said, play safe with the Miele.

Just for your info – Maytag is supposed to be the exclusive distributor of Asko rebranded laundry and dishwashing in the UK.

Having recently toured the Asko factory in Sweden, I can confirm their steel over plastic philosophy is alive and well.
To associate Asko with Servis is farsical, Asko operates totally independently of any other Merloni company.

When benchmarking I think you’ll find the Maytag/Asko dishwashers better than Miele, certainly my experience.
Miele do have a wider range of dishwashers if you’re after slimline or fully integrated though.
