as above. been out to look at a machine a kitchen fitter has “imprisoned” into the kitchen. So though as it will be a sod to extract, I’d see if anyone, nomad-pauly etc, has had this issue.
Seems appliance will spin lower wash arm, but not upper. 1/2 load isnt permanently lit, and assuming a blockage, but as aforementioned. this is almost a kitchen unit dismantle to remove, so would appreciate any in-situ repairs that can be attempted first 😛

Is the appliance actually switching between the two arms but the top won’t rotate or is it not switching at all ? The time between switching is longer on these new models , approx 2mins about so you do have to wait longer for the change.
2 possibles . 1- If no switching the diverter may be jammed. 2 – if it switches but the top arm doesn’t rotate but just sounds like waters gushing out of it , it may need a ‘rail’ mod fitted at the very back. There is a fault where the top basket doesn’t fully engage on it’s rear coupling because the back wall of the tub is too flexible. The rail mod strengthens the rear tub.

theres defo water coming through the upper basket spinner, but its like theres not enough pressure to turn it, so it sounds like it might be the rail issue. is that a f.o.c bosch modification or something wed need to order?

Have you lifted the top spray supply pipe to see if the water point to the top spray has fully opened though (as Paul referred to) ?

There is a way to check but you need the appliance out to do it. Basically you get the appliance up and running and when you’re sure the water is going to the top arm , apply light pressure on the back , approx 26cms down. If the spray arm then starts rotating , you’ve confirmed it needs the rail.
