Hi there. I thought I’d ask this forum about what you guys would recommend to buy and why. I’ve copied and pasted the questions from the buying advice article:
Do you keep more fresh or frozen foods? Probably more fresh, frozen tends to get left for months and eventually binned.
Do you want frost free or not? Yes, frost free.
Do you have any restrictions on size, especially height with fridge freezers? Max height can be 178cm (70”), max width 64cm (25”).
Will the machine be in a room at normal room temps (18-21C)? Yes.
Do you store a lot of bottles, wine etc.? No, not really.After reading the articles on here about cheap Chinese imports, poor quality builds, short lifespan of appliances and worst of all the landfill aspect of our throw away culture i feel the need to ask for advice before I jump in and buy. I’d really like something that will last and is well built. What would you go for in the high end budget range? and also in the high quality range? Any advice / info would be appreciated. thanks!

Hi
In a short phrase the Liebherr is the best money can buy. Also look at the Miele range which is also made by Liebherr.
Coming down you have the Bosch and Siemens range.

Trouble is both brands are top end so most small retailers won’t display them. Which leaves you people like Hughes who have a few stores around the country, John Lewis, Currys and then the big online guys like A.O.
Liebherr dealer locator here may lead you in the right direction.
