ParticipantHi all,
I have a brand new (warranty replacement) washing machine which I recently unpacked/installed in a flat I have just moved in to.
Connected it all up and put it on a test wash which ‘seemed’ to work fine although it did stop with about 15mins left in the program (during this program it spun, filled with water and heated correctly I think – door glass warm to the touch).
Since then anytime I have tried to start a new program it will light up but all I get is the ‘door locked’ indicator flashing at me and refuses to go any further. Can hear nothing from the machine apart from the door locking itself (and then releasing after 2 mins when I have switched the selector to off).
Tested that water is flowing from the pipes through the hose ok, checked the overflow by lowering it into a bucket, also checked the filter on the access panel at the bottom and looks ok.
Can anyone give me any suggestions on what might be wrong?
Thanks 😀

If your brand new machine is connected to a drain coupling under the sink, has the ‘blanked end’ been removed first?
If you suspect the machine at fault, then contact the manufacturer to get it fixed or replaced!

It’s connected to a standpipe so I just have the drain hose dangled into that.
The warranty has been complicated by the fact it was given to us by my girlfriend’s parents who have moved to France – have been in contact with them but they have no proof of purchase so Hoover will only give me the 5 year parts warranty (so I get charged call out at £89.23!).
Will try and use the local recommendation from this site for an engineer but just thought i’d ask in case it’s a common hoover problem or someone knew about this model and it’s error codes.
