    Hi everyone,

I went out to about 5 Hotpoint washing machines this year, new style, about 2 years old, no carbon brushes on motor, those ones.

The programs seem to start ok and timer clicking, but nothing else happens. If you put it on the drain program, the drain motor won’t start, if you put it on a wash cycle machine won’t do anything either.
Only thing that it can do is lock the door…

I was wondering whether anyone came across this before. It seems strange to me that so many relatively new Hotpoint washing machines start playing up like that.

Obviously I’ve checked everything and the machine is as new. The culprit is the control module I think.

    Thanks

    Alex

has the appliance had a blockage and the customer has checked the filter, if so the pressure switch will need to be reset, also check the motor connector for broken wires, give them a tug at the connector, failing that it is the module.

    Bob.
