Hi… really looking for some help
please. We have had a new Samsung frost free 70/30 integrated fridge freezer installed. Within a week, it seems to have issues. It has a loud humming, is very warm (not chilled inside) and the drip tray at the back when we took it out to look at it was full. We’ve turned it off.

This was installed by a carpenter as part of a hardwood kitchen install, but I can see no vent grilles have been installed. Is this the issue or do you think it is something else? We have almost nothing in the fridge. Absolutely gutted it’s not working and don’t think it’s the fridge as it’s brand new, so suspect it’s the installation/unit.

the other thing we noticed is that the door is a bit bowed, so I guess the seal might not be perfect either. It does shut (door alarm doesn’t go off).

    any ideas out there?

    many thanks all

depends where the condensor is that gets rid of the heat. Find the manual and consult fitting instructions

Thanks Dave – it’s at the back bottom I think, a Samsung digital inverter compressor, an all round cooling fridge/freezer. The installation requirements say it needs 200cm/sq ventilation top and bottom. It doesn’t have this at the bottom as it sat on the bottom of a hardwood carcass, it does have space at top. I was wondering if this is the main reason for it being warm and noisy (humming) or whether it could be the seal as well? Many thanks

all fridges need this ventilaton and more so during hot weather. in most instalations the bottom vent is the void under the kitchen units. if yours does not have this then you need to cut some big holes
