My old Hotpoint WMA30P has finally stopped. It needs loads of bits now, so after 14 years…the end. The new name seems to be Samsung, but I’m a little unsure about their quality and reliability. I work with Samsung Televisions, they’re good, but the reliability has question marks….
Samsungs’s have ‘digital motors’, what’s the reliability of these like?
A Bosch at around £400-£450 seems a good bet. I can’t afford a Miele, and the ISE is way out of my price range.

The machine will be used 6-7 times a week. So my old WMA did OK considering I bought it for £50.00 as a ex-rental 12 years ago it owes me nothing. Is it worth considering AEG/Electrolux/Zanussi I’ve read that the new machines aren’t built like the older units.

Thanks for reading and any advice offered. 🙂

Ehm, forget the the “good” bit and you’re very close there.

No idea, I suspect that’s just Samsung speak for an induction motor. Marketing claptrap basically.

None are however, they are no worse than any of the other choices with one or two notable differences, you can get parts at reasonably sensible prices and, you can get technical support. For many others that cannot be said.

    K.
