🙁 We have a freezer built under the work surface. It is nearly two years old. The compressor (motor) packed up and we have just had a new one fitted. It work ok now except it is so noisy that we can not have it on. We live in a bungalow so you can hear the motor when you are in bed. Any ideas please. We have made sure it has gone back in level.

    Thank you.

    Maggie,
The compressor is supposed to be sat on four rubber mountings to isolate the vibration from the chassis of the freezer. If not, this would generate a metallic/knocking noise. Otherwise I would contact your repairer and insist on further investigation.

    Re: new motor in freezer

I have been on to the engineer this morning and he reluctantly is coming back on friday. He seems to think all freezers make a noise and its something you get used to. Fraid not, this is too loud. Will see what happens. Thanks for reply
