ParticipantHello,
I have a few questions! We bought new oven (bertazzoni F6M9PX)and the cooling fan seems kind of loud (approx 50dB at 1.5 meters). Plus the carcas of oven resonates a little bit… I took it apart and it seems the fan just works at the top rpm. If it would be a bit slower it would be much better/quieter.I don’t know rpms, but the fan is ac240v/60Hz/45W. I looked around the net for cooling fans and they are ususally 22W. Could it be the cause? Should I just buy 22W fan?? Maybe I should use some kind of resistor?
Current fan has a very powerfull airflow. I think if less powerfull it would still cool the components. Also fan doesn’t cool oven after cooking (unlike other ovens). So while it works it cools the components, after its off oven just cools itself… so components should be safe even with less noisy fan??
Thanks you! I’m new at this I should have researched before. It never occured to me 😀

Hi
Your’e IP address suggests you are posting from Canada which explains why I am not familiar with the brand Bertazzoni 😉 Googling the model no. I see it’s a single built in oven.
If this is a new appliance and covered by a manufacturers guarantee you need to get them out to investigate the problem. Having a “dig” yourself will render the guarantee void so not a good idea.First things first have the installation checked to make sure everything is as it should be. An uneven oven can cause all sorts of noise issues.
HTH 🙂

Thanks for reply!
I will contact the manufacturer, also to ask them about rpm and airflow values 🙂 In case I find a good quality fan. I think their fan is not of quiet kind to begin with… so I’m guessing they won’t find anything wrong with it.Since I have no experience with hearing other noises, how is overall noise levels from average ovens? Are they fairly quiet?
Also what is average airflow/rpm?
The fan I have looks similar to this: http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/un1460-o … -fan-motor
