    hi all just a warning on these machines the rear bar that goes across the lower rear cabinet behind the motor is razor sharp! i recently slipped while fixing one of these and removed two inches of flesh wide by 3 inches long back to the bone and took out 3 tendons and 1 of my arteries and killed every nerve in my left hand not a good day
    please be carefull when fixing these as i managed to mess up my career in one swoop

    They should never be allowed to sell a machine such as that in this country.

    we have done two, both written off because of bearing failure and my engineer said they were a bit sharp and didnt care much for them, he obviously meant terryfingly sharp.
    Get well soon, did you have insurance cover?

    the manufacturer should be held accountable for such dangerous cost cutting

    That is terrible, get well soon.
    Once again another good example why we should have access to technical info with all the warnings etc.
    I would get some legal advice.

    Sorry to hear about your accident mate, you definately need to get your Medical reports & contact a Solicitor that specialises in accident compensation claims.

    this should not have happend, the machines built should not have this sharp metal finish…….ive had some near misses in the past…!

    Sorry to hear of your problems… a little warning for the rear panel of the Swan cookers too… razor sharp edges.

    sorry to here about your accident. hope you are up and about soon. it goes to show how quick your life can be turned around. the should not be allowed to sell appliances like this . 🙁 fasetester

    Get well soon mate. There really is no need for this sort of problem just to save a couple of pence on a machine it is terrible.

    thanks for all your best wishes it makes me feel a lot better, but it really gets to you when you go out to a £200 quid argos special and some one has taken the time to tape every sharp edge in the machine and yet a £500 quid machine could of quite easily killed me that day if i was on my my own in the house.
    i have taken legal advice and my solicitors agree i have a strong case but it dont help when you cant feel anything in one hand and dont even know when you cut yourself, not good being an engineer

    hi all you can see the picture i took before i went into plastic surgery and micro surgery they had stopped the bleeding at this point but i had to take a picture and yes the bit in the middle is my wrist bone showing
