    Re: New products

    Quick note to confirm,

ISE 10 made by ASKO is now in our warehouse at Wakefield with pre-orders going out over the next 7 days.

ISE 2 which was unvielled on Friday is made to our specification by specialist manufactuer Vestel. It is an AAB rated 5kg, 2 year guaranteed machine which we have brought in to meet your needs for a value ISE machine. Trade price is £156 plus V.A.T but to keep the price that low we can only deliver them as part of an order for three or more.

I will in true style embark on a UK tour to show the machine to the people who were not there Friday. If you want to see one and are not a regular ISE buyer contact me.

    regards

    Hi All

As you may be aware, the ISE 10’s which were delivered last week are a lower spec than we ordered (1400 instead of 1600 spin).

I have asked for £150 per machine compensation to encourage people who have ordered to keep the machines, I recon I should get £70 to £100, which we can use to compensate customers or swap out machines when the correct model comes in (hopefully at the end of the month).

This will leave 60 or so 1400 spin ISE 10 Machines in our warehouse available at a discounted price if you wish to keep selling them. They still carry the 10 yr or 3 yr guarantee.

While this whole scenario has been a nightmare, I have been told off the record that Maytag who have the Asko agency in the UK are deliberately making life difficult for us to avoid having their poor sales performance been highlighted by ourselves. It is in their interest to maintain the exclusive rights to Asko’s (to avoid a competitor getting it) but their whirlpool paymasters do not what to sell Asko machines.

Whether this is true or problems are due to good old fasioned incompentence by our supplier it does not alter the inconvenience caused to you for which I can only appologise.

Your patients and continued support is greatly appreciated, who knows in the medium this all may turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

    Re: New products

After a fortnight of arguing, threatening and ultimately brinkmanship we will get some ISE 10 1600 AAA machines by the 2nd November in time for our adverts which run in New Consumer and the Ecologist during November and December (I will post them when we get the final copy).

The 33 machines we have sold to date will be charged to you at £480 (the £100 discount) as promised the cost of this will be born by the UK agent Maytag UK. The balance of wrong stock 61 machines they have offered me £30 off to keep them, I have told them to get stuffed (words to that effect) and am holding the stock as a bargaining chip at the moment.

Therefore I will inform you when the correct ISE 10s are available. However unless they change their position I can only offer £30 off the AAB machines. This may change when the day they have to send a wagon and pay my loading off loading, storage charges and de-badge them.

I hope that update helps, thanks for your patience

Any news on the extra discount? TBH you will not sell the 1400 with only a £30 difference. My first one is going out today and I am still unsure of the cost as I had to discount £50 to get the sale and stop her going down to buy a Miele.

Can you also confirm the cost we will be invoiced for the warranty?

    Re: New products

The one’s you have are discounted £100 as agreed Mark but we’re still on the case with the rest. Maytag are being arsey about it. :rolls:

The warranty won’t be billed separately, like ISE2, there’s only one warranty so it’s one price which massively simplifies the warranty thing for everyone. So for those machines you’ll just get a bill for the published price (£580 plus VAT IIRC, but I’m not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} as it’s not in front of me) less the £100 agreed.

TBH, I’d love to do away with the two different warranties on the ISE5 but, for now that’s not possible as it would just simplify things so much from an admin point of view.

Anyway, with the other 1400 spec’d machines we should, I hope, find out what the score is this week although I’m not going to hold my breath as it’s not been plain sailing thus far. That said, we should have full spec washers in warehouse this week! 🙂

In other news, we’re working up the manual, which we should have shortly for ISE10 and ISE2 as well as training videos as well on DVD. The ISE10 washer, dryer and dishwasher video is already done, converted from VHS to DVD and they are the Asko Training Academy ones so, while they’re not bang up to date, they are very good.

    Re: New products

Thanks Ken, so the price i have been invoiced for already is the warranty inclusive price, right? In that case 😮 Might have done alright out of this one then.
Will the customer recieve something in the post re the warranty after I have registered it?

Yep, you did okay in that case. 😉

Yes, warranty certificate should be out by now or will follow in a couple of weeks.

    Re: New products

Noticed the little tool for undoing the filter flap was missing, has it been deleted or just missing on this one (its usually found under the dispenser handle and doubles up as a liquid detergent syphon, but I keep quiet about that one).
Also noticed on the 1400 version there is only a 800 rpm lower spin option, is that the same on the 1600? could have done with a third mid range choice (ie 1000 or 1200) IMO.
Like the auto opening door feature though! overall a great product!

    Re: New products

Just spotted that Don has linked to this article in a post in the public General Enquiries thread. http://tinyurl.com/yqwhl8

I know you haven’t much on your plate ATM Ken 😉 but now that the ISE 10 is live, that article may need a small rewrite. 🙂

Yeah, I;ll add it to the growing “To Do” list. 😕

Yes Mark the thingybober whatchacallit is missing, I noticed that as well.

The full blown 10 has all the spin options. 😉

    Re: New products

There’s no liquid detergent syphon in there either. The slots are in the drawer ready…… No-one’s mentioned it yet, but I’ll explain about the sins of liquids if needs be.

I can get the little “key” for want of a better term, if you like? I don’t think they cost much either.
