New replacement thermo overload cut-out switch not working?

The grill element on my New World NW601FP oven is not heating up. I have checked the grill element with multimeter showing continuity but on the thermo overload cut-out switch, there is no continuity.
My logic guess is the TOC switch is faulty so I order a replacement direct from New World Spares
The replacement TOC switch arrived and the value is not exactly the same as the original one.
The original TOC switch has KSD020, 1A, TT1001, 70 degree printed on it and the new replacement TOC has KDS020, 1A, TT1001, 100 degree.
Once I connected up the new replacement TOC switch, for some reason the oven fan just stays constantly on even when you oven selector is on the off position and the grill element still not heating up when selected.
Does anyone know when replacing TOC switch, it need to be exactly the same value in temperature degree as the original one is 70 degree and the new replacement is 100 degree?
Any help or advice is very much appreciated.

The new TOC is a good replacement… The problem is likely with the selector switch having a welded finger..

The original selector switch has been replaced recently. one of the finger was welded to the contact due to the faulty oven lamp (also replaced) causing the oven light to stay on permanently and blowing the fuse.
I have checked the selector and there is no welded finger to any contacts?

Are you sure you’ve replaced the grill overheat toc and not the cooling fan toc?

Is it the oven fan running or the cooling fan?

The cooling fan continues to run permanently even in the off position?

I’m not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure here as I can’t get a diagram but I think there will be 2 toc’s on this appliance.

one is the grill overheat toc which should be a short cct and will open if the grill overheats and will stop the grill working.

The other will be the cooling fan toc which is normally open and will close at a certain temperature to bring on the cooling fan.

I suspect what you have done is replaced the cooling fan toc with the new grill overheat toc and this is why the fan is on continually.

Have a look for another toc on the appliance with the same numbers on it as the one you have bought.

Yes, there is 2 TOC’S and the new replacement TOC has the same numbers/value of the other TOC.
When you say the cooling fan TOC is normally open, does this mean there is no continuity shown on a multimeter?
Are grill TOC different to cooling fan TOC?

That is correct. The cooling fan toc will show no reading on a multimeter until it gets above its operating temp. In this case 70oC.

The grill and cooling fan Toc’s will be different.

The grill and cooling fan TOC both looks identical in size so I must of mistaken the cooling fan TOC for the grill TOC.
Because the cooling fan TOC show no continuity on the multimeter, I just presume it’s faulty or damaged. (thinking it’s the grill TOC)
Just checked the other original TOC (grill) and it shows continuity.
Now, What is causing the grill element not to heat up, where as the oven element is working fine?
Both element show continuity on the multimeter.

The grill element wasn’t working (due to loose connection) and on my last post, the other original TOC (grill) showing continuity is actually the new replacement TOC. (got mixed up as all the grill element, cooling fan and new replacement TOC’s are all identical in shape and size
I have now replaced the original faulty grill element TOC and everything is now working. Thanks for the help.
