Yes
I have to agree.
Only started using it this week but already my staff are enthused with it.
Several minor modifications were required to tailor it specifically to us and all done within 24 hours of the request.
We really cannot fault this guys commitment to service.

WELCOME TO THE FOLD AZTEC / JACKAL
HOPEFULLY YOU BOTH ARE NOW SEEING WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS AT THE WTA SHOWS AS IVE TRIED TO DEMONSTRATE THE SYSTEMS. ITS IMPOSSABLE TO SHOW JUST HOW POWERFULL AND VERSITALE IT IS IN JUST A FEW HOURS WHEN ITS TAKEN YEARS TO WRITE BUT NOW WITH MORE AND MORE COMPANYS COMING ON BOARD WE WILL BE ABLE TO GET SUPPLIERS AND MANUFACTURES TO SUPPORT US IN WHAT WE NEED IE INTERGRATION !! AT THE MOMENT IVE GOT 2 MANUFACTURES AND I KNOW PAUL HAS A SUPPLIER THAT ARE LOOKING TO HELPP JAY

How useful would this system be for a sole trader with no admin staff? Would it have too many layers of complexity to make it worthwhile?

it does have lots of layers but the beauty is it can be as easy or complex as you want it to be, we are on the phone at least once a week asking Paul to change the system around for us, but even as a one man band it is an easy to use service and stock system.

As said above, it’s as complicated as one wants it to be, or equally as simple.
The stock management system is absolutely fantastic as it allows us to import the details of any part in seconds and then it allows us to cross reference it to known alternatives, pattern suppliers details, superseded details etc. It also remembers what models each part fits saving hours of looking up things.
So far we have one girl saving approximately 6 hours worth of work time a week and at £8 an hour it adds up. Over the course of a month that’s about £200
We rent the system from Paul for £100 a month which includes everything so on that score its a no brainer. When its released to my call centre staff I am expecting a similar efficiency saving so for us it not only means we have a reliable future proof system but that we can look to ensure our staff, our customers and our clients receive a more enjoyable experience in dealing with us.
Why not contact Paul at Hatchgate and ask him to allow you access to his demo site, I am sure he would be only too pleased to show it off then you can decide if its for you or not.

Just to add my opinion, I have used this system and its previous version for over 8 years now, there is nothing better out there believe me I have looked and actually the cost is minimal compared to others, my accountants fees have halved because it exports directly to Sage so less time going through paperwork, same can be said with stock, all in all the system has paid for itself time and again over the years in saving my business time and money.
Paul is an excellent person to deal with, his commitment and service is exceptional, personally now without the Mercury System my business would grind to a halt quickly its that important to us 😀

hi presser
we use basic samsung laptops and the new ipad 2.
laptops for when were in aeras with poor or no internet signal or the ipad for online searches mainly for part searching
1 manufacture found this week how relying on internet base systems can cause havoc when they lost there broadband for a few days proves again how having your own static system is the only way to goApril 12, 2013 at 9:21 am #324687mk

As Peter has said there is nothing to touch this system. We have been using it & it’s predecessor for about 7 years now. In the last couple of years it’s moved on hugely since Paul rewrote it. Every one can have an input re changes, if you have an idea that would improve it speak to Paul & he will do it if it benefits the system. We use it on 6 pc’s now ( mix of desktop & laptops). There is nothing you can buy at the price versus features. I know there are systems you can get for free but they don’t have the features & versatilty, at the end of the day nobody do’s anything for nothing. Contact Paul for a no obligtion demo. Micheal
