Have purchased a new thermostat to replace the old faulty one on theis oven.
The part number I was quoted was 082604989. Ordered one and was sent an 082620851 instead. Have contacted the suppliers who say its a universal stat and will replace the original, it just looks different. Plus the spade connectors are in different places. I wired it up where I thought logically that the wires should go, switchd oven on and tripped out a circuit breaker.
So something clearly isnt correct!

Just on a quick check, the number supplied is not listed against that model or as a part change on the original part number you were given in the other thread by Chris.
So it’s very possibly the wrong replacement part you’ve been supplied. I’d advise that you go back to whoever supplied it.
What you have probably got is a cheapo pattern replacement which, if you’re not familiar with working with such things, can be a challenge to fit, even for us.
There are pattern ones available and they are considerably cheaper that the pukka part, like half the price. But then, a bargain isn’t always a bargain especially if it doesn’t work. 😉
