    Hi folks

Been to a few later Hotpoint and Indi m/c for various faults but happen to notice that the outer tubs have no visual means of holding the two halves together (like clips or screws) so I guess that the two halves clip together..

Before I get one to strip apart just thought it might be usefull to be forwarned so…

    Does anyone know..

    1) Are they easy enough to prise apart or is there a special technique..

    2) Do they clip back together easy enough or do you need to exert loads of pressure (big lump hammer? 😆 )

    3) Or do they not come apart and we have moved ever nearer to the disposable washing machine..

Thanks guys.. sure someone out there must know..

Number 3 is the right answer 🙁 Welded tubs appear to be the future as Zanussi are also starting to use them.

    Thanks for reply guys

Intersting posts on links.. looks like I will be advising cust re tubs when they ask my advice on new machines to buy..

Can never understand why manufactures alienate the sevice industry as we must acount for a certain percentage of sales through recomendation.. maybe its not enough and customers only want cheap and nasty these days..

Don’t they realise by repairing machines we are trying to save the planet for their children..
